Death Drank It's Way There

People are drinking all of the time and they are told to watch themselves. If people drink to much, or even at all, it can be harmful to the body. Alcohol can even lead to death, whether someone is under the influence or it physically tears them apart. When someone is under the influence, they have no idea what they are doing and they have no control of themselves and that could lead to death. Someone could get into a car accident, get in a fight with someone and get killed, or they someone could drink to much and go into a coma and die.
According to a recent study by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, found that excessive drinking is accountable for 1 in 10 deaths among the ages of 20-64. If that would take account for the whole nation, then that would be 88,000 deaths per year. If people would stop drinking so much, then there would be a whole lot less deaths. According to the World Health Organization, 3.3 million people die per year in the whole world. On average, everyone in the world ages 15 and older drink 6.6 quarts of alcohol a year. The sad part about this, is that only 38 percent of the world's population drink. According to studies, the average person drinks 18 quarts annually.

There should be a way to stop the over-consumption of alcohol. One way that could stop it, would be raising the taxes on alcohol. This way be would not want to spend more on alcohol; therefore, they would buy less. Another option, is that other countries would raise the drinking age to 21. Utah on one hand is doing very well with their fight on alcohol. In the article, it says that Utah makes a distinction between a bar and a restaurant. This could mean that restaurants are not allowed to sell alcohol or that they are not allowed to sell much alcohol.
